Giving Opportunities
Annual Giving
Annual Giving is the lifeblood of the Library. Each year, annual giving contributes unrestricted funds to the Library’s general operating budget to help offset expenses. Every gift, regardless of size, is important in enabling the Library to carry out its mission.
Your gift to the Annual Fund immediately benefits the Library’s programs and collection. The dollars raised go directly into the operating budget and are used the same year they are received.
By supporting the Annual Fund each year, you are helping to continue the Library’s legacy of providing the Phoenixville area with educational, cultural and recreational resources.

The Legacy Society
Legacy Society members include donors to the Endowment Fund who have:
- Made a planned gift of any type
- Donated a gift of cash or securities of $10,000 or more
Legacy Society benefits include:
- Listing in our annual report and materials
- Invitation to the annual President’s Reception
- Our eternal gratitude
Endowment
The Endowment Fund for the Phoenixville Public Library was established in 2004 by the Phoenixville Library Foundation to permanently benefit our community. The endowment provides:
- Seed money for innovative new programs
- A consistent base of funding during economic downturns
- Administrative support, so every dollar raised annually is
allocated back to Library programs
- Long-term sustainability
Many people, blessed with success during their lifetimes, want to give back to their communities. Endowment gifts can be given now through gifts of cash, publicly traded securities, and closely held stock. The Phoenixville Library and the Phoenixville Library Foundation Board are committed to continued growth of the endowment.
Planned Giving
Planned Giving is an effective way to have an impact on the future well-being of Phoenixville Public Library. Individuals have many options available to them in making their estate plans such as bequests, and other planned giving vehicles. The Library recognizes all who have made provisions for the Library in their estate plans.
Bequests
Bequests, large and small, are a significant source of support for the Library. Simply stated, a bequest is the act of naming the Phoenixville Public Library in your will. The Library’s policy is for all realized bequests to be placed in the Library’s endowment, unless otherwise specified by the donor.

Tribute Fund
Whether your tribute is a memorial, a celebration of a happy occasion, or an expression of honor and esteem, it can have no finer form than a gift to the Phoenixville Public Library. This gift of knowledge assists the Library in its efforts to provide books and services not otherwise available.
Your gift to the Tribute Fund may be in any amount. If you wish to provide a new book for the Library as a Book Tribute, the minimum contribution is $35 and will be acknowledged in any name you choose. For $1000 you can enrich the Library for generations to come through the establishment of a Perpetual Book Fund. Each year a book in the subject area will be purchased in the name of the designated person.
A book plate will commemorate your gift in each new publication. An appropriate announcement of your generous gift will be3 sent to the designated person informing them of your thoughtfulness. The amount of the gift is never disclosed. You will also receive special acknowledgement for your contribution.
