·         Register at the library or online at beginning Monday, June 8 -- it's free!  You must be at least 18 years old to qualify.

 

·         For every two books you read from the Phoenixville Library’s adult collections, $1.00 will be contributed to Heifer International towards the purchase of farm animals for an impoverished family.

 

·         Weekly gift card raffle drawings for all registered participants.

 

·         Post and share book reviews online.

Ms. Grannum-Mosley’s recently published book (CreateSpace publishers) covers the most reoccurring or overlooked points of focus for individuals in career transition resulting from downsizing, termination, or career change.  Resume enhancers, cover letters, networking dos and don’ts, key interviewing techniques, and dress code etiquette are some of the areas she touches upon.

 

Andrea Grannum-Mosley has a decade of experience as a career counselor and has been a Human Resources Director in the retail and manufacturing industries for over 15 years.  She is a graduate of CUNY-Brooklyn College.

AARP Driver Safety Program

 

Two Day Program - Two Four-Hour Classes

The AARP Driver Safety Program is the nation's first and largest classroom driver improvement course designed especially for drivers age 50 and older to help people live more independently as they age.  The course covers the normal changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time associated with aging, and provides practical techniques to adjust for these changes.  Participants also receive a thorough review of the 'rules of the road', with an emphasis on safety strategies.  The informative, easy-to-read course workbook is based on data collected from federal and state agencies, universities, and traffic safety organizations.  There are no tests, and graduates are eligible to receive a discount on their auto insurance premiums.
